Update Carousel

Deoarece am primit mai multe mail-uri care solicitau acest lucru, pun online ultima versiune a plugin-ului Carousel, ce include, printre mici optimizari, si functionalitate pause / resume, in cazul in care se foloseste optiunea de auto-start. Acestea se declanseaza la mouseover / mouseout pe slide-uri, dar desigur pot fi atasate oricarui event.

    Great but how do I make the start/stop button work within the html markup? Does anyone have any examples of this in action?

    Hello Jonathan,

    It’s easy: just add two triggers (links) to your markup, one having rel=”pause” and the other rel=”resume”. Both of them have to have the “carousel-control” class name.

    Nu vreau sa par carcotas, dar cred ca era mult mai simplu sa folosesti effect.morph din scriptaculous.

    New Effect.Morph(container_elem,{ style:’top:’+(-1)*(child_index*child_height)+’px’ })

    iar in html

    div wrapper{ position:relative; overflow:hidden }
    div container{ position:relative/absolute; top:0 }
    div child{}
    div child{}
    …

    Spun asta pentru ca vad ca effects.js trebuie oricum inclus pentru ca aplicatia sa functioneze

    Nu imi pari carcotas, orice idee este binevenita :)

    Solutia cu scroll are avantajul ca se misca foarte smooth indiferent de browser, pe cand in general efectele ce implica schimbarea graduala a pozitiei unui element prezinta probleme datorita diferentelor de timing intre browsere.

    Unul din browserele care se comporta foarte slab in astfel de situatii este chiar Firefox. Prin urmare, chiar daca nu apelez la efectele “built-in”, am garantia ca efectul functioneaza impecabil pe o plaja mai mare de browsere / platforme :)

    Pacat ca nu merge foarte bine si pe Google Chrome. Din exemplul testat de mine merge prev dar nu merge next. In rest, superb scriptul.

    Sunt prea multe chestii absolut normale care nu merg cum trebuie pe Chrome. Parerea mea este ca nu este nici pe departe un browser relevant, a fost lansat muuult prea in graba.

    Deci nici nu va merge prea curand pe el :)
